One of the most important parts of a store is the ability to manage incoming Orders. The Manage Orders screen allows you to view orders placed as well as the status of the order.
To manage your orders, navigate to the BuyNow module and select "Orders" from the admin menu:
The Search Orders options can be found at the top of the Manage Orders screen
By default, the Manage Orders screen is set up to show you all of your open orders and by default is sorted showing newest orders first.
Search Orders by Date Range
To filter Orders by Date Range just click on the text box for “From Date” and “To Date” and choose the date range you want and then click the filter button and the order grid will filter all the order by date range on the order date field.
Search Orders by Order Status
To filter the orders by Order Status select a Status from the Order Status dropown then click the “Search” button and the order grid will filter all orders by the Order Status chosen.
Search Orders by Pay Status
To filter the orders by Pay Status select a Status from the Order Status dropown then click the “Search” button and the order grid will filter all orders by the Order Status chosen.
Search Orders by Keyword
The Keyword Search allows searching for orders by keyword. Simply enter your keyword in the textbox and click to the “Search” button and the order grid will filter on the criteria you entered.
To remove the filter click the “Clear” button and all the orders will be displayed again.
You can sort the Orders table by any of the fields listed in the header column by clicking the Header name – Order ID, Order Date, Status, Balance, Order Total, etc.
Each column heading in the grid is a hyperlink, if you click the column heading in the grid it will sort on the field heading clicked in ascending order, if you click the column heading again the grid will sort in descending order on the field heading clicked.

Adding an Order
While most customers will have no problem checking out online, some customers occasionally need help to place an order, while others will prefer to order by phone. SmithCart allows you to manually add a new Store Order into your store.
To add a Store Oder take the following steps:
- Creating the Order
The first step to processing a new order is adding the new Store Order. From the Manage Orders screen click the “Add Order” button at the top of the store order grid.
- Selecting a Customer
The next step to adding a new order is selecting the Customer you would like to assign the new store order. After “Add Order” is clicked, a popup window with a combobox that allows you to either search for or select an existing customers in your store.
Select the Customer of your choice and then click the “Add Order” button.

- Add Order Complete
This completes the steps to add a new Store Order to your store.

To edit an order, from the data grid that lists your Orders, click the “Edit” button or simply double-click on the Order in the grid the edit link next to the Order Detail you wish to edit.
Once an Order has been selected from the Manage Orders list the following Manage Order Details screen will be displayed:
Make the changes to the Order and click the “Save” button to save your changes.
