Order Export

SmithCart > Integration > Export

SmithCart provides the ability to export customer and order data from the cart database to CSV that can then be imported into your ERP system or sent to your fulfillment house.

To export your orders, navigate to the store admin menu in the BuyNow module and select "Import/Export" as follows:

 
Next, select the Export Tab to load the Export options.
 
 
 

Then, click the Order Export tab as follows:

 

Running the Export

Step 1:  Select export options

Select the file format to export.  The "Update Order Status To" dropdown allows you to select the order status that will be automatically set to after records are exported.

 

Step 2:  Filter Orders and Export

Enter your search criteria and click the "Filter" button.  Orders that meet the criteria will be displayed.  Confirm the data and click the "Export Orders" button to start the export.

 


 

Order Export Format

There are 3 different Order Export formats to select from:

  1. Orders
  2. Order Details (Flat Format)
  3. Order Details (Hierarchical Format)

Orders Format

The Orders format creates the order records on separate rows in the CSV file.

Order Details (Flat Format)

The flat format creates the order and order detail records on separate rows in the CSV file.

The best way to see the export file formats is to run the export and open the file.
