Getting Started

To get started, you will first need to login to the Merchant Resource Center

Test Environment Credentials

  • Username: demouser
  • Store ID: store3, store2 or store1
  • Password: password

The following screen will be displayed:

Once logged into the account online, you should plainly see the API Token. Make note your API Token, you need to enter these in your Payment Setup later. If you do not see the API Token, in the Moneris Virtual Terminal go to Admin > Store Settings and the API Token will be displayed at the top of the page

In the production environment, an individual must be granted permission to access and alter the configuration. User permissions may be updated by navigating to “ADMIN” and then selecting ”MODIFY USER” from the submenu.

Once you have found the user to be updated, click on “Set Permissions” and update their Administrative Permissions.

Directpost Configuration

To create a new Directpost configuration, once you have successfully logged in, click on the “ADMIN” menu item on the top menu:

Then in the submenu that appears click on directpost config.

On the Directpost Configuration page, click on “Generate a New Configuration”.


You will be assigned a Direct Paypage ID (ps_store_id) this is the identifier for this unique configuration. Make note of your ps_store_id, you need to enter this in your Payment Gateway Configuration below.

Set the Transaction Type to Purchase
Set the Response Method to Sent to your server as a POST.
Set the Approved URL and Declined URL to the Confirm page. For example:

Payment Gateway Configuration

To configure your Payment Gateway, you only need to do 2 things; navigate to the Payment Setup and enter your Payment Gateway credentials.

First, navigate to the Payment Setup section of the module:

Select the Moneris eSelectPlus Direct option from the Payment Gateway dropdown:

The following fields will be displayed:

Enter your Payment Gateway Credentials:

Live Environment

  • Host:
  • Store ID:Store ID you acquired in the previous step.
  • API Token:Enter your API Token (you must create an API user in your eSELECTplus dashboard via Admin > Store Settings)

Test Environment

  • Host:
  • Store ID: store5
  • API Token: yesguy

If you're using the Test environment, enable Test Mode by checking the Test Mode checkbox:
