eWAY is a payment gateway based in Australia http://www.eway.com.au/ providing eCommerce credit card services. Smith Cart is integrated with the eWAY Merchant Hosted Payment solution. Smith Cart posts an XML document containing customer and payment information to the eWAY payment gateway. This allows customers' to remain on your website at all times, while processing occurs behind the scenes.
To get started, you will first need an eWay account. If you don't, you can go to https://www.eway.com.au/plans-pricing to sign up. After this is done, follow the steps below.
Obtain API Credentials
To process a payment thru eWay Rapid API, you must obtain your API credentials. You'll need the following info:
- Customer ID
- User ID
In order to find your find your Customer ID, login to your partner portal account using the link below for your country:
Your User ID and Password will be the same that are used to login to your partner portal account.
Your Customer ID will be displayed at the bottom of the page as depicted in the following screenshot:

Payment Gateway Configuration
To configure your Payment Gateway, you only need to do 2 things; navigate to the Payment Setup and enter your Payment Gateway credentials.
First, navigate to the Payment Setup section of the module:
Select the Eway R option from the Payment Gateway dropdown:
The following fields will be displayed:
Enter your Payment Gateway Credentials:
- Customer ID: The Customer ID obtained in the previous step.
- User ID: User you use to login to MYeWAY in the previous step
- Password: ThePawword you use to login to MYeWAY in the previous step
